THE AWARDS

Winners will be announced, their work played on the big screen, and prizes awarded to help you on your career journey. Our panel of judges will talk through the pieces, offering their insights with the winners.

PART 2
THE Q&A

We then open up the floor for a Q&A between you and our industry panel, with an emphasis on career advice and fulfilment within our complex but wonderful industry.

PART 3
THE SOCIAL

It all ends with a mingle. A chance for you to network with each other and chat to working professionals.

All entrants will require their music track to be provided by our partners, Epidemic Sound. You will be given free access to their library and a free trial of their library for use on other projects

How to enter

For your entry to count, you must register to compete in the Matchbox Film Awards using the form below. Once your film is complete, you will receive an email telling you how to submit your entry.

The winners will be announced at our live awards night at Park Village, London,  on 26th November.

How old must I be to enter?
You must be aged between 16-23 on 17/11/24 to enter.
How do I submit my film?
You must upload your film to the link provided in your registration email by midnight on Saturday 12th November 2024. We will need the video file and not a link. If you experience technical difficulties uploading your film please email matchbox@gusto.film
Can I submit a film I've already made?
Absolutely! As long as it fits the brief (comfort).
How long should my submission be?
30 seconds.
Can my submission be longer or shorter than 30 seconds?
No, it should be exactly 30 seconds.
When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced at our awards night ceremony on 26th November at Park Village in London (NW1 7PX)
Can I use stock footage?
Yes, you can.
Can I work as part of a team?
Yes, but entries must be submitted on behalf of one individual.
Can I submit my film to other film festivals?
Yes you can, but only once the winners have been announced.
Can I submit more than one film?
Yes, as long as each submission is distinctly different.
Can I edit my submission after submitting?
No. All submissions will be final. Please make sure you are uploading the correct version of your edit before submitting.
Can my film be in a language other than English?
It can, but please include English subtitles.
