Our job is to explore just what it is that makes a brand special and play the role of sherpa in taking them places they didn't know they could go.

What gives it gusto

Brand story... that big chunky connection creating umbrella film that lends itself to social cuts, mini-documentaries or a series of films that sink their teeth deep down into a brand's very core. This doesn't endeavour to be a hard sell. More an opportunity for the world to see a brand for who they are, build connections through shared beliefs and boost brand awareness to the masses.
But, every brand is unique, so attempting to apply the same strategy and approach to all, isn't going to make the cut. Our job is to explore just what it is that makes a brand special and play the role of sherpa in taking them places they didn't know they could go. The Brand Story is a chance to be real, to be relatable and to resonate. These films show a human side to the bigger picture of not only what a brand does, but why it does it.

PRE-PRODUCTION

  • Look at a brand's values, their core beliefs and why they do what they do
  • Audience of One investigation so we can speak to them directly
  • Discuss what more could be made from the film and how it's best delivered
  • For the love of BTS, if there's a brand rep on set, let's get them in front of camera for some snackable content that helps put a human face to the name and build brand integrity.

PRODUCTION

  • Shoot in 8K so we have flexibility in the edit
  • Shoot portrait and landscape
  • Are we shooting on RED or does this lend itself to other options? Handycam or even a phone for example
  • BTS again, make sure you get it!

POST-PRODUCTION

  • Subtitles as no one has audio on anymore (except TikTok)
  • Aspect ratio, delivery formats for certain platforms etc. (instagram doesn't like .mov)
  • A good colour grade, is it going to pop on the grid
  • High-quality thumbnail stills
